The original movie, starring Reeves, Tilda Swinton, and Shia LaBeouf among others, was a decent success grossing $230,884,728 worldwide on its $100 million budget according to Box Office Mojo. Since then, the character has appeared in a 2014 live action series portrayed by Matt Ryan, who went on to join Legends of Tomorrow as part of the CW Arrowverse.
