Khan revealed that the surprise free agent would square off against Isiah Kassidy to earn a spot in the Face of the Revolution ladder match at the pay-per-view in March. Following his announcement, members of the AEW roster teased the arrival of numerous free agents that may pass through the “Forbidden Door.”

Prior to the reveal of Lee as Kassidy’s mystery opponent, Roppongi Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta) were in the middle of an interview, where they revealed that they would take on The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) this Friday on Rampage. Romero and Beretta were attacked by The Young Bucks and Adam Cole before Cole spotted someone else. Switchblade Jay White would step into view with his back to the camera before helping The Elite in their attack. White ended his surprising AEW debut by complimenting Nick Jackson’s blade-like earrings.
Lee debuted moments after White’s reveal and had a tremendous showing against Kassidy. Lee not only defeated Kassidy to qualify for the Face of the Revolution ladder match at the March pay-per-view but took out Kassidy’s tag partner, Marq Quen after the match. Many have anxiously awaited to see Lee in AEW following his release from WWE in November. Prior to his release from WWE, Lee had been rebranded as Keith “Bearcat” Lee and made sparring appearances following the gimmick change. Lee’s non-compete clause with WWE expired last week, allowing him to sign a contract with AEW.
White has made appearances for Impact Wrestling since July 2021. There, he confronted Kenny Omega, Don Callis, Doc Gallows, and Karl Anderson. White and Omega have a tense history that dates back to Omega’s time with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, where he invited White to join the Bullet Club, only to have it backfire. White would join and lead the Bullet Club after Omega departed from NJPW and White had defeated Omega for the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship. Given White’s history with stabbing stables in the back and his past with Omega, his appearance on behalf of The Elite doesn’t bode well for the group.
Lee has already made a splash in AEW in his debut match against Kassidy. Now that he is officially All Elite and has been entered into the Face of the Revolution match to potentially earn a TNT Championship match, Lee is on the track to success. Motives around White’s debut aren’t as clear, but White is known for making a massive impact wherever he goes. Whether White ends up having a match against Omega in AEW following his return or is merely here to help Cole stir up problems, having him in AEW is a huge win for the company.
