Brad Calipari on Thursday entered the NCAA transfer portal with intent to leave Kentucky, according to Stadium’s Jeff Goodman.
Calipari redshirted in 2018-19 after playing sparingly for his father in his first two seasons as a Wildcat. In a combined 27 games as a freshman and sophomore, the 6-foot guard scored just 11 points and recorded five rebounds.

As a senior at MacDuffie School in Granby, Mass., Brad Calipari averaged 15.3 points, 3.6 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game and was a career 1,000-point scorer. The junior graduated in May with a degree in communications and will have two years of college eligibility remaining. He can play immediately as a grad transfer.
While Calipari didn’t make an impact on the court this season, he was a sideline hero and college basketball fashion icon.
Even his sister got in on the fun.
And sportsbooks were taking bets on his NCAA Tournament attire.
Entering the transfer portal doesn’t officially mean Calipari is leaving Kentucky, but in all likelihood fans will be seeing more of the guard in a basketball uniform next season rather than a turtleneck.
